Fall Prevention Tips
Create color contrasts between walls and floors
Make sure all areas are well lit : night lights, sensor lights, tap/clap lights
Decreae theuse of extension cords
Install handrails
Mark first and last stair with contrasting color (stick on’s paint, tape)
Remove carpets and scatter rugs
Place non skid decals in tubs/showers
In stall grab bars at toilet area
Keep a flashlight near the bed
Keep necessary important items next to bed: TV remote, glasses, water, etc.
